Walks that start from or go through Stirchley, with the most recent at the top
This walk was led by Sarah Meharg; it started from the Ten Four Bakehouse, Unit 11, Stirchley Trading Estate, B30 2PF (sadly closed for a summer break when we were there) and ended at the Birmingham Brewing Company Taproom. The walk is 9 miles and is all pavement. The route follows the River Rea through parkland to Cannon Hill Park and cuts through Edgbaston before walking back via the Worcester & Birmingham Canal.
Sarah's walk started from the Ten Four Bakehouse on the Stirchley Trading Estate, Hazelwell Road, Stirchley, B30-2PF, at 9.00 am.
There will be time for a baked breakfast or doughnuts to boost energy levels before embarking on a 9.5 mile route taking in nature reserves, towpaths, urban streets and Tolkien's Birmingham including Moseley Bog and Sarehole Mill that inspired Lord of the Rings. The route ended in the Birmingham Brewing Company Taproom.
