This Amble started from The Bear Inn, Berkswell, CV7 7BB and was led by John & Sue Timperley. The walk passes through Benton Green, Flint's Green and Millison's Wood on the way to Meriden and returns to Berkswell via Four Oaks.
This Amble started from the Tom o' the Wood, Rowington, CV35 7DH, at 10.00am on Sunday 10th May and was led by Wayman and Beverley. The walk was just under 5.5 miles long and followed the Heart of England Way towards Baddesley Clinton, back to Kingswood Junction and then along the canal back to Rowington. The route has a few stiles and some fields with livestock. Generally, the walk is a mixture of fields, towpaths and quiet lanes.
This amble started from The Orange Tree, Chadwick End, B93 0BN, on Saturday 25th April and was led by Anne Dewison. The walk was just under 5 miles (8km) long and, although muddy in parts, was an easy walk with only 4 stiles.
This Amble started from The Manor House, Fillongley, CV7 8ET, at 10.00 am on Saturday 11th. April and was led by Denis Pratt. The walk was a bit less than 5 miles long and was part of the North Arden heritage trail. There were many fields with cows. One had cows with their calves, so we detoured around it.
This 5 mile (8 km) Amble started from the Saracen's Head, Balsall Common, CV7 7AS, on Saturday 28th. March at 10.00 am and was led by Denis Pratt. The walk was over fields and along quiet country lanes.

This walk starts at 10.00am on Saturday 31st. January from the Bulls Head, Meriden, CV7 7NN, and will be led by John & Sue Timperley.
The route goes up into the hills towards Fillongley and back past the Queen's Head. Please note it is necessary to register your car in the pub on arrival. This walk is the same as that cancelled on 6th. December.
This amble led by Colin & Jane started from the Queen's Head, Meriden, CV7 7JP. The walk began along A Coventry Way and was on a mixture of rural footpaths and country lanes. Part of the walk followed a section of E2, "a renowned European long-distance walking trail that connects Scotland to the Mediterranean"!
Denis Pratt led an excellent walk of 4.1 miles (6.6km) on Thu 1 Jan from The Bulls Head at Barston.
This circular walk of just over 4 miles (6.6km) is from the Fleur de Lys, Lowsonford to Preston Bagot Church and back. The walk is entirely on quiet country lanes, so is a good one for winter when the surrounding fields are muddy and flooded.
The sections of the walk at the ford and near the junction of Preston Road and Preston Fields Lane are prone to flooding onto the road, so beware of attempting this after prolonged rain. If in doubt, drive round first to check it is clear.
This Amble will start from the Blue Bell Cider House, Waring Green, Earlswood, B94 6BP, at 10.00 am on Saturday 22nd. November and will be led by Anne Dewison. The walk is just over 5 miles, has one stile and is easy walking along quiet lanes, woodland paths & along a canal.

This Amble of just under 5 miles (8km) from Ye Olde Saracen's Head, Balsall Common, CV7 7AS was led by Denis Pratt; it followed rural footpaths and quiet lanes.
An Amble of 5.5 miles (8.8km) from Kingswood Junction Car Park, Brome Hall Lane, Kingswood, B94 5QZ (link to start point in Google Maps) led by Adrian Jones on Sun 26 Oct. This route through Warwickshire countryside is mainly on footpaths through fields and followed the Stratford-upon-Avon Canal towpath but also has short sections on quiet roads.
A walk in the dark from Hampton-in-Arden to Barston and back; a Friday evening adventure! The annual Night Walk is organised by Cameron Grant Memorial Trust in memory of Cameron who took his own life at the age of 21 in November 2014. Starting and finishing at the Fentham Hall in Hampton-in-Arden, the route is just over 4 1/2 miles long.
The 10th Night Walk for Cameron but was a great success with wonderful weather, 355 Night Walkers and over 50 volunteers helping to make it go so well.

This Amble will start from The Boat, Catherine de Barnes, B91 2TJ, on Sunday 28th. September at 10.00am and will be led by Denis Pratt. The walk will be 4.8 miles long and includes canal, field and urban walking.
This walk started from the Boot Inn, Lapworth, B94 6JU, at 10.00 am on Sunday 14th. September and was led by Wayman and Beverley. The walk went past Packwood House and then back to the Boot via Kingswood Junction.

This walk was led by Anne Dewison from the Queen & Castle car park, Kenilworth, CV8 1ND on Sat 30 Aug. The walk was 4 miles long and had no stiles.
This amble will start from the Bear at Berkswell, CV7 7BB, on 16th. August at 10.00am and will be led by Mary Coles. The walk will be 4.5 to 5 miles long.
This Amble will start from the Fleur de Lys, Lowsonford, B95 5HJ, on Saturday 2nd. August at 10.00am and will be led by John & Sue Timperley. The walk will take in Yarningale Common and Holywell and is 4.8 miles long and rather hilly with several stiles.
Along with the concurrent Hike, this Amble marked the 10th Anniversary of the start of The Hampton Gym walking group. The walk started from The Navigation Inn, Lapworth, B94 6NA on Saturday 12th July and was led by Denis Pratt. The walk was about 5.2 miles long and was a mixture of cross country footpaths and canal towpaths. Part of the route followed the Heart of England Way.

This Amble was led by Colin and Jane and started from the Wagon Load of Lime, Old Arley, CV7 8FU. The route is mainly across farmland but also crosses Oakridge Golf Club and goes through Arley Wood.
This Amble started from Kingswood Junction car park, Brome Hall Lane, Kingswood, B94 5QZ at 10.00am on Sunday 22nd June and was led by Adrian Jones and was approx 5 miles long.
This Amble of about 5 miles (8km) started from the Hampton-in-Arden Sports Club on Sat 7 Jun at 10.00 am and was led by Sue and Bill Kiely. The walk went over fields and along quiet lanes from Hampton to Barston past Barston Lake and back by a different route.

This walk started from The King's Head, Aston Cantlow, B95-6HY, on Saturday May 24th. at 10.00 am and was led by John & Sue Timperley. The walk was about 5 miles and had only 2 stiles.
A delightful walk of 4.2 miles (6.8km) from The Bell in Tanworth-in-Arden, B94 5AL, led by Adrian Jones and Jane Niblock on Sat 10 May in glorious sunshine. The route is on quiet paths and country lanes.
This Amble on 27 Apr began from The Red Lion at Claverdon, (CV35 8PE) and was led by Mary Coles. The weather was magnificent! The walk is 4.8 miles (7.7 km) long and is a circuit through rural Warwickshire that goes to Langley then Wolverton and back to Claverdon.
This Amble will start from the Anchor Inn, Leek Wootton, CV35-7QX, on Saturday 12th. April at 10.00am and will be led by Anne Dewison. The walk is 5.3 miles and is mainly on rural footpaths taking in a stretch of the Centenary Way. The walk is easy and goes through woods and fields around the Warwickshire Golf Course; there's no stiles and shouldn't be too muddy.
This Amble from The Railway Inn, Dorridge, B93 8QA on Sat 15t Mar was led by Denis Pratt. This walk is just over 5 miles (8km) long and for the most part follows footpaths through fields and woods, and the towpath of the Stratford-upon-Avon Canal.
This Amble around Kingsbury Water Park was led by Anne Dewison on 1 Mar 2025 in glorious weather. The walk began from the Dog & Doublet Inn, Bodymoor Heath, B76 9JD (Google Maps) and was just over 5 miles long
This Amble began from The Red Lion, Corley Moor, CV7 8AP on Sun 16 Feb and was led by Wayman and Beverley. The route of 5.3 (8.6km) miles is mainly flat. It passes through the adventure park at the Heart of England Conference and Events Centre and in the main follows footpaths through woods and fields. There are some stretches on quiet lanes.
This Amble began from The Falcon at Hatton, Birmingham Road, Hatton, Warwickshire, CV35 7HA (Google Maps) on Sat 1 Feb and was led by John & Sue Timperley.
The walk of some 5.1 miles (8.2km) was mainly on quiet country lanes to avoid the worst of the winter mud. Near the start (and finish) the route passed the lovely church of St Mary the Virgin, Haseley from where there are also views across open farmland to Haseley Manor.
This Amble will on Saturday 18th January from The Bulls Head, Barston, B92 0JU was led by Sue and Bill Kiely.
This Amble from The Red Lion in Claverdon on 22 Dec was led by Mary Coles. The route is entirely on country lanes so is especially good for when the fields are very muddy.

This Amble is around Kingsbury Waterpark on Saturday 7th. December and will be led by Anne Dewison. The walk will start at the Dog & Doublet, Bodymoor Heath, B76 9JD, at 10.00am and is just over 5 miles.
This walk from The Plough Inn, Shustoke, B46 2AN was led by Colin & Jane Niblock on 24 Nov 2024 in wet and quite windy weather. The route goes through North Warwickshire countryside around Shustoke Reservoirs. This route is liable to have muddy stretches in wet winter months.
The walk was followed by an excellent Sunday lunch in the pub!
This walk of around 5 miles was led by Denis from The Red Lion, Lady Lane, Earlswood, B94 6AQ on Sat 9 Nov. The walk follows paths round Earlswood Lakes, through woods and across farmland.
The walk from the West Midlands Golf Club was led by Sue and Bill Kiely on Sun 27 Oct 2024. The route is approximately 5 miles long on familiar ground through Bradnock's Marsh, Balsall Common and Barston.

This Amble of around 5.4 miles from Ye Olde Saracens Head, CV7 7AS on Sun 29 Sep was led by John and Sue.
This Amble of about 4 1/2 miles from the Fentham Hall Car Park, Hampton-in-Arden to Barston and back was led by Evan & Carol Grant and followed the route of Cameron's Night Walk as closely as possible. After the walk we enjoyed a very pleasant Sunday Lunch in The White Lion on the High Street in Hampton-in-Arden.
This amble from The Red Lion, Claverdon, CV35 8PE, on Sunday 1st September was led by Mary Coles. The 5 1/2 mile loop is mainly on footpaths through fields and on quiet lanes; it also takes in Yarningale Common, Preston Bagot and a short section of the Stratford-upon-Avon Canal towpath.

This Amble started from The Red Lion, Claverdon, CV35 8PE, on Sunday 18th. August at 10.00 am and was led by Mary Coles. We had a very good Sunday roast lunch at The Red Lion after our walk!
This amble started from The Queen's Head, Meriden, CV7 7JP, at 10.00 am on Saturday 3rd. August and was led by Colin & Jane. It is approximately 5 miles and follows the Millennium Way and Coventry Way, there is only one stile and several fields with cattle and one with sheep.

This walk started from the village hall and playing fields at Chadwick End, at 10.00am on Saturday 20th July and was led by Adrian Jones. The carpark is at the beginning of the village (from the Knowle direction, A4141) and on the left hand side, about 50 yards before The Orange Tree pub, B93 0BL. The walk will be some 5 miles long through fields and along canal towpaths and quiet roads.
An short (if hilly!) amble of 2 3/4 miles (4.4km) from Walton Hill Car Park, Walton Hill Road, Halesowen B62 0NQ. The route includes Clent Hill (309m, also known as Four Stones) and Walton Hill (316m), and it offers great views!
The walk took place on Sun 7 Jul from the Church Carpark, Claverdon Church Centre, Church Road, Claverdon, CV35 8PD. The walk via Wolverton and Langley was just over 5 miles long (8.5km) and was led by Mary.
Denis led this amble from The Navigation Inn in Lapworth on Sat 22 Jun. It was nearly 6 miles long and involved canals, country houses and countryside.

This Amble from the Mary Arden Inn, Wilmcote, CV37 9XJ on Saturday 8th June was led by Sue and John Timperley. The walk was approximately 5 miles mainly on rural footpaths, bridleways and a canal towpath along the Stratford Canal.
This walk from the Lickey Hills Country Park Visitor Centre, B45 8ER was led by Colin and Jane Niblock on Sat 25 May. The route is a varied one of 5 miles / 8 km.
From the Visitor Centre the route starts south along the crest of Cofton Hill before descending to the base and continuing north along the base and then turning right into Cofton Hacket and reaching Cofton Church Lane. Along the lane, over the railway and then south to Lower Bittel Reservoir where the route goes south west to Barnt Green village and through the village via the station to Pinfields Wood. From there it heads in a northerly direction through the wood to Lickey Warren and back to the Visitor Centre.
This walk from The Red Lion Hunningham (CV33 9DY) was let on Sun 12 May by Bob Reid. This route progresses from Hunningham to Weston under Wetherley and then due north along The Millennium Way to Weston Lane and then south and east to Wappenbury and back to Hunningham. The route is around 5 miles long and is mainly on rural footpaths and bridleways, with short stretches on minor roads.
This walk from The Railway Inn, Dorridge, B93 8QA, was led by Mary Coles starting at 10am on Sat 27 Apr.
This walk from The Bull's Head, Stratford Road, Wootton Wawen, B95 6BD on Saturday 13th April was led by Andrew & Helen Collis. It is just over 4.5 miles long.
From The Bull's Head the walk quickly goes onto rural fields and then follows the path of the River Alne. At the end of a long disused railway line it then continues for about a mile along a reasonably quiet country lane with good verges and visibility of traffic. It then heads across fields, crossing a live but infrequent train line (take extra care though on crossing!). It then follows the towpath along the Stratford upon Avon Canal and then across fields coming out in Wootton Wawen opposite the ancient church. A short distance along the road and back to the Bulls Head which specialises in "fiercely authentic thai" food but also serves some traditional pub dishes.
This walk started from the Hatton Arms, Hatton, CV35 7JJ, at 10.00 am on Saturday 30th. March and was led by Bob Reid. It was approximately 5 miles long.
From the Hatton Arms the walk follows Shakespeare's Avon Way through Budbrooke into Hampton on the Hill before turning off towards Grove Park. From there go north bypassing Hatton Country World to the Grand Union Canal, turn right onto the towpath and back to the Hatton Arms.
This walk from The Bulls Head, Barston, B92 0JU was led by Bill & Sue Kiely on 16 Mar. The route goes via Barston Church to the Heart of England way and then follows the Heart of England Way to Wootton Grange. From there to Wootton Lane and thence to Barston Lane which is left by a path through woodland and then back to Barston. The route is about 5 miles in length.
We walked this circuit from the gated car park for ZF Hub UK, Central Boulevard, Blythe Valley Park, Solihull, B90 8BG on Sat 2 Mar 2024. We were led by Garry Chiles who works at ZF; if you want to try this walk, please find another parking place in the Blythe Valley Park or Illshaw Heath.
The walk is on country park paths, footpaths through fields and a canal towpath. There were quite a few wet and muddy patches when we did this. It will be good underfoot in summer. There are a couple of easy stiles on the route.
An amble from the Fleur De Lys, Lapworth St, Lowsonford, Henley-in-Arden, B95 5HJ led by John and Sue Timperley.
The walk went from Lowsonford to Pinley Green and then to Claverdon and back to Lowsonford via Yarningale Common and along the Stratford-upon-Avon Canal. When we did this walk on 17 Feb 2024 there were several very wet and muddy stretches, so come prepared! The route takes in many little-used footpaths which makes it unusual and different. There are a large number of stiles a couple of which are tricky for large dogs, and many of which are in semi-disrepair.
An Amble of 4.7 miles (7.6km) from The Plough Inn, Shustoke, B46 2AN led by Jane on Sat 3 Feb 2024. The walk has minimal gradients and no stiles and is an enhanced circuit of the reservoir with a detour to Hoggrill's End.
This walk was led by Bob Reid on 21 Jan 2024 starting from The Lord Nelson, Ansley, CV10 9PQ. The walk is 4.3 miles long and is mainly on rural footpaths.

This walk from The Boot Inn, Lapworth, B94 6JU was led by Bob Reid and was just under 5 miles long. The walk started and finished along the North Stratford canal towpath with rural footpaths and bridleways in between.

This walk was on Sunday 26th. November from the Fleur de Lys, Lowsonford, B95 5HJ, starting at 10.00 am. and was led by Bob Reid. It was approximately 4.5 miles and follows rural footpaths and lanes and the Stratford Canal towpath.

The walk consists of mainly rural footpaths and bridle ways and crosses a racing stable gallop track but has one steep downhill slope and passes through a few attractive villages, Little Alne, Gt. Alne and Walcote.
This amble on 29 Oct starting at 10.00 am from The Greyhound Inn, Hawkesbury Junction, Coventry, CV6 6DF was approximately 4.5 miles long and was led in brilliant sunshine by Bob Reid. The walk was on a mixture of rural footpaths and canal towpaths.
This walk from Sarehole Mill car park, Cole Bank Road, B13 0BD was led by Garry Chiles. The route follows the valley of the River Cole from Sarehole Mill in a southerly direction to Yardley Wood and back to the Mill.

This circular route of just under 6 miles (or just over 9.5km) from The Queen’s Head (Old Rd, Meriden, Coventry CV7 7JP) is mainly on rural footpaths with some sections on quiet country lanes. The route passes through Eaves Green, Meriden Shafts and Harvest Hill before returning to The Queens Head in Meriden. The walk was led by Evan Grant, starting at 10am on Sat 16 Sep.
This walk started at 10.00am on Sun3 Sep from The Tipperary Inn, Meer End, CV8 1PW. The walk was led by Fran George and Carol Grant.
The walk is approximately 4.5 miles long and follows footpaths towards Kenilworth along a route that includes open farmland, a stretch along Chase Lane and a section through woodland.

This walk started from the Prince Harry Car Park, Prince Harry Rd., Henley in Arden, B95-5GD, on Saturday 5th. August at 10.00am and was led by Bob Reid. The walk is about 4 miles. Starting from the Car Park, the route goes to Bear Lane via the High St., and then alongside the railway to the Golf Club. From there the walk follows a circular route on rural footpaths and arrives back at Henley Station and then to the carpark.
This inaugural walk for the Arden Amblers will take place on Saturday 22nd. July, starting at Ye Olde Saracens Head Balsall Common, CV7 7AS, at 10.00 am.

This walk will leave the Hampton Gym at 10.00 am and will be led by Bob Reid. It will be approximately 4 miles long, leaving the gym down Old Station Road towards the station and then follow the railway line to Windmill Farm. From there proceed to the old road past the Marsh Nature Reserve to Patrick's Farm.
Please note that this walk has now changed. After carrying out a recce of the original walk it was found to be too overgrown and almost impassable in places so the walk will now commence from the Saracen's Head in Balsall Common, CV7 7AS at 10.00 am. Parking is available in the pub car park.
The walk is mainly on rural footpaths with a short distance on country lanes and the terrain is essentially flat but may be muddy after rain.

The walk is mainly along field and woodland paths to Meriden and back along the Heart of England Way. The terrain is moderately flat and passes over agricultural land, past sand & gravel pits and by Berkswell Hall.
This amble starts from Ye Olde Saracens Head, Balsall Common, CV7 7AS, and is approximately 5 miles. Car parking is available in the pub car park.
The walk starts from an old crusader meeting point and follows narrow country lanes and field paths along the Heart of England Way over undulating terrain. It leaves the HoE Way about half way round and returns via other field paths and country lanes through Fen End.
This walk, starts from the Hampton Gym at 10.00 am and is approximately 5 miles in length. It will be led by Bob Reid.
The walk will proceed down Old Station Road to Meriden Road, turn right to Marsh Lane and thence into a series of fields leading to Barston village. From Barston it returns to Hampton via Walsal End and then back to the gym.
This walk starts from the Hampton Gym at 10.00 am and is approximately 5 miles in length. It will be led by Bob Reid.
The walk will proceed down Old Station Road to Meriden Road, turn right to Marsh Lane and thence into a series of fields leading to Barston village. From Barston it returns to Hampton via Walsal End and then back to the gym.

The first of the new ambles will set off from the gym at 10.00 am and will be approx. 4.0 miles in length. The walk will be led by Bob Reid.
We will leave the gym along Old Station Road heading towards the station, here we cross Meriden Road to The Crescent and make our way to the railway line. We follow the railway passing underneath to Marsh Lane which we follow to the end. Here we pass underneath the railway again and make our way to the transport cafe where we turn left and continue along the old road past Bradnocks Marsh to Patrick Farm. Rejoining Meriden Road we proceed back to the gym either along the main road or across fields depending on the conditions underfoot.
