Sharron and Pete led a hike of about 10 miles on Sat 1 Jun from The Warwickshire Lad, Broad Lane, Wood End, Tanworth-in-Arden, B94 5DP. This was a varied walk through the Warwickshire countryside along quiet lanes, fields and through woodland.
A map of the route follows below the photo album and the route description.
The route went initially towards Tanworth-in-Arden, branching off towards Aspley Heath, then heading in the direction of Ullenhall where we walked through an Alpaca experience. We headed uphill to Mockley Wood, followed by a slow descent back into Tanworth-in-Arden.
There are a few tricky stiles and long trousers are recommended as the grass in some of the pastures is extremely long! It is worth noting that we cross a railway line and on the recce the wildlife consisted of Alpacas, Sheep & Deer. So there are areas where dogs will need to be on leads.
