This walk is about 9.5 miles in length and you can park in the vicinity of St Mary & St Margaret Church (post code is CV35 9HP)
In the summer, some of the paths through woodland areas get a little overgrown with brambles so it is advisable to wear long trousers.
From the pretty fairy-tale church in Combrook to the village of Lighthorne, this is a completely rural country walk through Warwickshire farmland. The scenes are far-reaching and marvellous with a good view of Compton Verney from the bridleway above it. It is an area that is thickly wooded - a coppice, spinney or covert is never far away - and the sight of a deer darting away is not unusual. Passing isolated farms and over arable fields and pasture meadows, crossing streams and alongside pools and lakes, the route is peaceful, varied and lovely, and the woodland path on the way back to Combrook adds that extra bit of delight to an escape into green and pleasant tranquility.
