This walk starts from the Newbold Comyn Arms car park, Leamington Spa, CV32 4EW and is approx. 9 miles distance.
With the Leisure Centre on your right and the pub car park on your left continue down the tarmac road into the park, passing adventure play areas on your right and a further car part on your left. Continue ahead until reaching a building. Take the footpath on the right (in front of the building) which crosses the River Leam before reaching the A425. Turn left here taking the footpath along the road and at a convenient point cross the road and continue down the footpath looking for a short flight of steps on the right which leads to the canal. Turn left down the canal passing under two canal bridges. Upon passing under the second bridge an old brick railway bridge comes into view; pass under the railway bridge and immediately turn left walking up a slope and on to the disused railway track (Cycle Route 41 – The Greenway).
Continue ahead along the Greenway until a bridge comes into view at which point look for and take a footpath on the left walking up the slope to a metal gate. Pass through the gate and turn left, walking a short distance across a field of crops to a road junction. Cross straight over the road and continue towards Offchurch along a minor road and looking for and taking a footpath on the right which crosses a field of crops to another road. Upon reaching the road turn left walking a short distance along the road. ‘The Stag’ pub comes into view ahead; before reaching the pub take a turn on the right, passing through Manor Farm and continuing ahead for about ¾ mile before reaching a collection of farm buildings at which three paths meet; turn left here down a farm track; at the end of the track turn right and then almost immediately left crossing the River Leam via a footbridge and then entering a wooded area; the path heads downhill slightly at this point and then up a hill to a hedge gap on the left; at this point there is a fork in the path and it is the diagonal path across the field of crops that you should take. After crossing the field and passing through an archway in the hedge the path continues uphill to South Cubbington Wood turning left to pass in front of the Wood eventually reaching a tarmac driveway; turn right at this point away the farm and towards the village of Cubbington. St Mary’s Church comes into view which is at a crossroads; turn left at the crossroads away from the church continuing along the road passing the Warwickshire Brewing Company and some shops on the left. Shortly after the shops there is a footpath on the left which passes between the houses and leads to North Close and then to a T junction with a more major road. At the road junction the path ahead is clearly visible across the road and to the right. Passing through the metal gate follow the path ahead; the path bears left following the hedge line and continues downhill where it passes through the hedge and into open space. There is a hedge line ahead running at 90 degrees to the route. Though the path ahead is not marked it follows this hedge to the right and at the corner of the hedge turns left up a hill. At the crest of the hill a residential tower block is in view on the right; again not marked, however, the path runs diagonally across the field of crops in the direction of the tower block. Head to the corner of the field where there is a gap in the hedge. The next part of the route follows the edge of the housing estate along a minor path which becomes a tarmac track passing Campion Hills allotments; upon reaching the far boundary of the allotments take a path on the left which runs alongside the allotment boundary and continues ahead through a wooded area to the golf course. Upon reaching the golf course turn right and continue along the edge of the golf course. After a short distance the roof of the Leisure centre becomes visible on the right. Take a path on the right downhill to the golf centre and the back of the Newbold Comyn Arms arriving back at the car park where you started.
