Hatton circuits

Angus and Tracey Mills planned this walk for the Hampton Hikers with two options - a 'standard' Hampton Hikers walk of around 11 miles and an 'extended' walk of 17+ miles for those who are in training for the Cotswold Way Walk (or anyone else wishing to join them).

"Both walks start at the Hatton Arms, Hatton CV35 7JJ. Leaving there we head North via Home Farm to Inchford Brook Farm and then East through Bulloak Farm to Deer Park Wood before circling round to Leek Wootton, skirting the golf course and entering Warwick from the North. The scenery is lovely and much of the walk is along bridle paths and minor roads making it remarkably dry underfoot. Once we arrive in Warwick we head West along the canal to Warwick Parkway station which is where the two walks diverge.  Those intending to join the extended walk might like to note that there are toilets here.

The standard walk follows the canal back to the Hatton Arms (just over 2 miles from this point). Arrival time 12:30-1 pm. The longer walk heads South under the railway line and through St. Michael's churchyard, Budbrooke before heading towards Hampton on the Hill where we head East, generally following the course of the M42 before heading North again to Hatton station where we pick up the canal again and head East back to the Hatton Arms. Walk duration 6 - 6 1/2 hours.”
