Walk Description: this walk is about 7 miles and starts from Knowle Church, B93 0LN, there is free car parking at the week-ends in the municipal carpark behind the Greswolde Arms with pedestrian access to the churchyard at the rear right-hand corner.
Starting in front of the church on Kenilworth Road, walk away from the town centre to Kixley Road, turn left and follow the road to its end just over the canal bridge, there go through a gate into a field. Go ahead across a field to Elvers Green lane, turn left and walk along the road for about a mile to a T-junction with Hob Lane. Turn right along Hob Lane to Piercil End and take a grassy, deeply rutted track on your left with hedges on both sides, follow this track to a ford, cross the ford by a footbridge on the right and then go ahead to Balsall Street. Turn right onto Balsall Street and proceed into Temple Balsall taking the first road on your left, Fen End Road.
Go forward past the school and turn right down a footpath which passes the Leveson alms houses on your right, continue along the path to pass a church to a gate. Just before the gate turn left through a kissing gate and follow a footpath, trees close on your left. Cross a stile beside a gate and maintain your direction, along a broad grassy path. At a telegraph pole, ignore the track ahead of you and instead turn right along a grassy track. The track narrows to a footpath. Keep ahead, a hedge on your left. Follow the footpath to a stile leading into a lane.
Turn right along the lane. In a few yards, bear right along the lane for another 1/4 mile. Just before a road junction, turn left onto a gravel track to the right of the gates to Park Corner House. Follow the track, soon becoming enclosed and unsurfaced, downhill to join a broader track at a gate. Turn right along this second track, more open and better surfaced. Follow the track to the gates of a farm on your right, and keep ahead through a metal gate. Follow the enclosed grassy path to a road. Cross over the road, A41, and turn left along the pavement for 300 yards and then turn right along the drive to the Black Boys public house, Keep ahead through the carpark to the canal. Turn right along the towpath and continue to the Knowle locks. 250 yards past the top lock go up the track to bridge 71 and turn left over the bridge and follow the road for 1/2 mile back to Knowle church.
